The colonists at Cuper's Cove were left with many items in order to begin life in Newfoundland. These items included building supplies and tools, food, clothing and animals. In 1611, a documented list of what was left at Cupers Cove was made. We are fortunate enough to still have that list today.
Some of the items left at the new colony included (Please note this list is exactly as it was written):
- 26 Butts and Pipes of Bread, also 4 Dryfats of Bread
- 14 Pipes of Beer
- 3 Kinterkins of Butter
- 2 Barrels of Meal and 1 of Oatmeal
- 24 Cheeses
- 1 Barrel and 1 Kinterkin of Aquavitie
- 3 Hogsheads and 1 Barrel of Quarter Beef
- 10 Bushells of Wheat, 20 Bushells of Rye, 10 Bushells of Barley
- 3 Barrels of Candles
- 1 Pipe of Canarie Wine and 3 terces of Rochell Wine
- 1 Puncheon of Vinegar
- 12 Whip Saws, 2 Tenant Saws and 4 Hand Saws
- 3 Brass Pots, 3 pans, 2 kettles and 1 Posnett
- 8 Spades, 25 shovels, 8 Pick Axes and Mattocks
- Tools Belonging to a Smith
- Iron Stove
- All the Tools Belonging to a Sawier
- One Still
- All the Carpenters Tools according to their notes
- A Masons Tool according to his note
- 15 Beds and Bolsters
- 20 Rugs and 40 Blankets
- A Chest of Linen brought from England
- 1 Kinterkin of Pewter
- 5 Pairs of Stockings
- 13 Nets and 2 Saws
- 1 Covering of Hair Cloth and 1 of Canvas
- 23 Boat Sails
- 6 New Boats and 1 Skiff
- The Ships Stage Clothing
- 1 Dozen Bands of Twine
- 1 Pestell and Morter
- 2 thousand of Wet Fish
- 10 Tunnes of Salt
- 11 Thousand of Dry Fish
- 1 Great Grind Stone
- 1 Bible and 1 Book of the General Practice of the Sick
- 1 Boor, 1 sow with 9 Little Pigs
- Pair of Tame Pigeons and Poultry
- 6 Goats
- 1 Black Rabbit
- Grain
- Beef,

- and Longbows

These items would prove to give the colonists a good start for their new lives in Cupers Cove.
